Microsoft SkyDrive is getting a major upgrade with new desktop apps and better syncing capabilities, but also reduced free space--from 25GB to just 7GB for new users. If you're a loyal SkyDrive user, however, you can hold on to your 25GB of free storage space (one of the most generous available now). Here's how:
Sign on to http://skydrive.live.com/ where you'll see the message that SkyDrive's free storage is changing to 7GB. On the left navigation pane at the bottom, click on the link at the bottom that says "manage storage." Then click the "Free upgrade!" button to claim your 25GB of free storage.
It's a limited-time upgrade, so hurry!
