Verizon has made a lot of changes to its wireless and home data plans lately. This week the company unveiled pricing for its new super high speed data tiers: 150 Mbps for $100 per month or the "Quantum" 300 Mbps tier for $210 per month with a two-year contract. According to a Verizon spokesperson, this is "the most significant mass scale, consumer broadband speed enhancement in the nation in the nation in the past decade." Unfortunately, FiOS customers will have to pay about $10 to $15 more a month to get these and other new Internet service offerings from Verizon, according to Reuters. If your work depends 0n the fastest and most reliable Internet access at home, however, FiOS is where it's at.
This news comes amidst other pricing changes from Verizon Wireless. Verizon unveiled new "Share Everything" plans that combine data access for multiple devices and include unlimited voice and texting. This could save you money if you are a heavy data user or own many devices, but could cost you if you don't.
